Summer started with a bang as Silent Book Club surpassed 1,000 global chapters with a big reveal on Good Morning America. Local chapter organizers have been planning a full slate of #sbc1000 activities. The Silent Book Club of Death is hosting a Global Summer Reading Challenge (with prizes!), SBC Iowa City created a delightful summer reading bingo card, and SBC Central New Jersey is setting sail on the first ever Silent Book Club at Sea.

Spotlight: Columbia, South Carolina

After taking over SBC Columbia, South Carolina six months ago, Jemia Williams expanded the chapter to multiple locations, invited local authors to meet with members, and forged a new partnership with the Columbia Museum of Art.
