Meet the authors
Meet the authors
While good news seems hard to come by right now, the one thing that has consistently cheered us up throughout this pandemic is having the opportunity to connect with authors and talk about our favorite subject: books.
We love hearing about each writer's process, how ideas form on and off the page, and the surprises and challenges that come along the way. Every conversation teaches us something new, and deepens our appreciation of the books we read.
Last week we chatted with Alli Frank and Asha Youmans (above), educators and coauthors of Tiny Imperfections, a romance novel that unfolds during kindergarten admissions at an elite private school. You can watch the video on our YouTube channel.
This Tuesday, August 4, Lisa Duffy will be joining us to discuss My Kind of People. Set on a small island off the coast of New England, the novel centers around a group of islanders who band together to care for a recently orphaned girl. RSVP here to receive the Zoom link for the event.
With the rise in Covid-19 cases, we're asking all our members to protect themselves and others by wearing masks and practicing physical distancing. We know that social connections are vital to mental health, so read with friends online at one of our many virtual SBC meetups around the world. Bring a beverage and make it a party!
Stay safe,
Guinevere & Laura
