Read Around the World
April is all about the books
This month we're celebrating not one, but TWO of our favorite holidays: World Book Day (April 23rd) and Independent Bookstore Day (April 28th). Sadly, World Book Day falls on a Monday this year, when most of us have to work rather than doing what we'd rather be doing: Reading. So we're going to make the best of it by sharing what we'd #ratherbereading with some of our favorite book friends on Instagram. Make sure to follow along @SilentBookClub for some fun perks.
And speaking of perks, if you live in the Bay Area, head over to Green Apple Books on Clement for Indie Bookstore Day. For the third year running, SBC co-founder Laura and I will be pouring free mimosas from 10-11am to kick off the festivities. Come say hello and raise a glass to your local bookshop. Bonus for SBC members who swing by: Green Apple is donating an Indie Bookstore 2018 tote bag stuffed with advanced copies of up-and-coming books to give away. Stop by our table and drop your name into the hat!
Last but not least, don't miss the Silent Book Swap at the bottom of this email. It's a new classifieds section where indie authors, bloggers, and businesses can connect with readers. If you have something you'd like to promote in an upcoming newsletter, drop us a line and ask about our $25 intro rate.
Happy reading!
